Question : Problem: Researching tape autoloaders/libraries, looking at Exabyte VXA-2 PacketLoader 1x10 1U Autoloader

Anyone have any experience with this Autoloader or the tape format that Exabyte uses?

I'm looking for an automated solution from a reliable company that is around the $2k-$3k price range.  I neen minimum 7 actuall tapes.  If you have something, please post your comments.

How much data are you attempting to back up?
The LTO technology allows a loy of data to hit a single tape at very quick speeds.  I abandonded my autoloaders because of their sensitivity to environmental issues; one drive replaced a 20-tape library.
