Question : Problem: jumpers to enable front panel to work with SBlaster card
I have a 775i65G motherboard and I can plug in a microphone in the front and a headset to the front panel on my computer and it works while disconnecting the main sound that goes out the back to the speakers. the sound unit onboard is the AC'97 audio. Now if I install a Sound Blaster Audio 4 card then I assume the AC'97 onboard will be dissabled now. and I connect my speakers to the Audio card which occupies a PCI slot. This is good. However what about the front. Will it still work with the wiring from the front panel connected to the motherboard? The soundblaster card does not have any jumper pins to connect the mic-power, mic-in, Rout and Lout and Return pins from the front panel to it. In simple words can I still use the front panel for my connections to a headset/microphone while I use the soundblaster card and will it bypass the sound to the speakers when the headset is plugged in?

The pins on the white connector are usually reserved for an OEM connector but they may be used for connecting the front panel. http://audigy2zshowto.blogspot.com/
