Question : Problem: My Dell 1750 BIOS a-08 wont boot unless I type ALT-F10

I loaded the RAID 5 on one server and then removed the hard drives out and placed them into another.
When I boot up it always comes up with the following message

"NVRAM/Drive configurations are inconsistant.  Reboot your system" and

"Press A key to run configuration utility or (alt)  (f-10)" to continue

I hit A went into the RAID bios and went to configurations - add / view
Then looked at NVRAM and the disks and they say "Online"

P.S. if I hit Alt F10 it works fine but would hang up on it if there was no manual input

I am not sure what to do because they are in a remote country and if I dont get it done by 1200 Fri 22 sept. Bankok time I wont have a second chance at it.

Your quick assistance is appreciated

Jonas

Answer : Problem: My Dell 1750 BIOS a-08 wont boot unless I type ALT-F10

I'm guessing that you are doing this remotely?  If you use one raid controller on one server to create the raid container on a set of drives to be used in another server, or if you used one server to create a raid array and then moved the controller and the drives to another server; I think you're only asking for problems.

It's kind of unlear what you are doing when you say, "I loaded the RAID 5 on one server"; but you generally want to put the drives and the raid controller in the server and configure these into the system they will be run on and not try and configure them on another server then swap them.
