Question : Problem: flashing the bios if your original floppy does not work

is there a way to create a bootable system floppy disc for flashing the bios?
when attempting to update bios for the first time, on boot, the screen read "invalid system disc "
floppy drive seems to be working
i ve been unable to recreate another usable disc.
mobo: asus a7v133-via kt133a chipset- 200/266 mhz fsb
award medallion bios
bios: v. 1004 want to flash to v. 1009

Well as far as I have heard about updating these bios's Is that you keep the bios utility and the rom on a disk. No other files. Then boot the PC with your start up disk in it. Choose the option without the cd-rom support. Then take out start up disk and insert the one with the bios. Typ dir and type a line like the following
biosutility biosrom.rom
That should start it up is what I've heard. However don't just settle for my answer. Ask other people more familiar on this. Also you are aware if something goes wrong you might damage your bios chip if not the whole motherboard.
