Question : Problem: RWW stopped working after XP update (SP3 I think)

Last night I was prompted to update my home computer (XP home), which I did.

This is the first time I've tried to use RWW since then, and its not working.

I get all the way in as far as "Connect to Client Desktops" and when I follow that link I get the list of client machines, and an error dialog (see attached).

I think the update was SP3, in any case my PC is now showing its got SP3 (Control Panel > System > General)

Hi Zorba111 - this is a new "security feature" (also known as irritant) in XP SP3.

Internet Options

Programs tab

Manage Add-ons

Enable the Active X component for Microsoft RDP Client (you'll see it's disabled)

This ends up needing to be done for every profile that logs into that machine.
