Question : Problem: XP Issue with 802.11b PCI Card

I am trying to install my Softgate 802.11b AP/Router Solution PCI card into a spare PC. I already have a wireless network running.

Xp keeps 'freezing' whenever I try to install the drivers. It gets to about 98% or so and then just hangs.

The drivers that came with the card are Quetec drivers. I have even tried downloading the drivers directly and using them, but I get the sam eissue.

Anyone else having problems?

If the card is installed in the pc have you tried removing the card and then installing the drivers. Then replace the card, windows should then find the drivers and use them.

If you have already tried this. Have you tried installing the drivers in safe mode. Or do you have any virus/spyware scanners running these could be causeing the installation to fail try disabling these.
