Once teamed, Windows should create a 3rd NIC in Network Connections. If not easily determined from the naming (Local Area Connection 1, 2, 3 doesn't help me either), go into the Properties of each NIC. The individual NICs will not have TCP/IP bound to them, and will have the Intel Teaming Protocol bound. The Virtual/Teamed NIC will be the one with the opposite config - TCP/IP bound, Intel Teaming not.
From there, treat it like a normal NIC, go into the Properties of TCP/IP and establish your settings.
I usually rename the NICs as well when I'm done - right-click...Rename. Call the Teamed NIC something to remember it by in the future. I also turn off the "Show NIC in taskbar when connected" for the individual NICs and turn it on for the Virtual NIC, so there is no confusion as to which NIC is being administered in the future, since you want to administer the Virtual NIC most of the time.
