Question : Problem: HP 3380- Jet Direct Print Card-Scanning over network

I just bought HP 3380 and want to network it. Will Jet Direct Print Card allow printing over network and allow the scanning function as well, ie. scan into machine and have computer in other office receive scanned documents? Thanks.

yes this will support this functionality..

just attach the jetdirect and configure it.. the usb connect ones like the 3700en should be your best bet, avoid the temptation to buy the cheaper version like the 175x as this may have problems and you will not get any upgradable firmware to correct problems..

once this is done - install the software and point it to the ip address.. the software should then alow you to scan over the network..
