Question : Problem: Low signal alerts with Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000 on XP PRO SP3
Two complete new PCs with XP PRO SP3 and Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000 keyboard/mouse set. We get an error that the signal is low and you should change the batteries.
We have changed this 3 times with high quality batteries. Yet it pops up 3-4 times a day. The receiver is 30cm away. We tried multiple positions, different angles and changing the batteries. Still the popup keeps coming up. Any solutions? I'm suspecting it's a SP3 issue?!
Answer : Problem: Low signal alerts with Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000 on XP PRO SP3
At the end we exchanged the keyboard/mouse with a 3000 series. So far no complaints.
