Question : Problem: Problem mapping local printers using Citrix
|
|
One of our Citrix users is having a problem getting his Citrix client to map any of his local printers when he connects from outside our network. All our other users don't have any problem, and there is nothing remarkable I can see about the user in terms of how he is setup in Active Directory etc.
The same client receives all our network printers no problem and these work fine. Is there any way a user can toggle the mapping of local printers on and off?
I've tried restarting the local spooler service which makes no difference. This has being going on for a long time despite numerous reboots.
Any ideas?

Have you checked the event viewer to see if the driver is not recognized? If so, you need to set up a mapping to a driver you have on your server. You can always load the native driver but it isn't the best option. If you don't get an error and this is a USB printer it is possible this is your issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302361
