Question : Problem: No power to mainboard even after PSU Swapout
Hi , I have a customer with no power to their computer , no fans no lights etc They experienced a mild electric shock before the problem developed after this , there was no power to the machine. I have tried a different PSU and also tested the existing PSU in another computer - it works fine I have unplugged all the drives and devices and also removed all pci cards I know the mainboard is probably fried is there anything else I can try before i pull the board out and throw it in the garbage?

It seems like the mainboard is fried indeed...I hope you tried a PSU with enough Watt? If so and the mainboard still doesnt show any life....then I guess it is ripe to go to the garbage.
Try to look for burned chips on the mainboard, if you look carefully you might spot something, then you know for sure. I had this once and I was able to spot the chip which was fried....(you might need a magnifying glass)
