Question : Problem: SVGA and VGA
Hi,
I'm looking at getting the following components:
- Gigabyte 9400GT 512MB
- 17" monitor with 1 VGA input
- Optoma ES520 SVGA projector
The card has the following connections:
2 x DVI-I - 29 pin combined DVI - A
1 x TV-out HDMI - 19 pin HDMI Type A ( with adapter )
VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) ( with adapter )
So, what I'm planning is to use the VGA output from the card to the input of the monitor, then use a DVI to VGA cable to the projector. Although the projector is SVGA input, will this make a difference?
Thank you,
Uni
Answer : Problem: SVGA and VGA
As long as the resolution of the signal going via the DVI-VGA is 800x600 @60Hz (SVGA) and the cable uses all 15-pins there should be no problem. AFAIK the Optoma's are all PnP and capable of interpreting the incoming signals.
