Question : Problem: SATA disk not found

I have a Dell PC which on boot up comes up with the following error message
"SATA disk not found"
"SATA primary drive not found"
SATA secondary drive not found"

How can i rectify this?  What is a SATA disk? Does it use the IDE port or is there a SATA port?

SATA is short for Serial ATA, it's something different than IDE and also uses a different cable to attach drives to.
Read some about SATA: http://www.serialata.org/about/index.shtml

You most likely have a Serial ATA controller on your motherboard, but no drives attached to them, check the BIOS to see if you can disable those ports until you need them.
