Question : Problem: Diagnose Computer Problem
I put together a computer. It has a Gigabyte Ultra Durable 3 Motherboard, Model EP45T-UD3P. It has 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM which checks out OK. The CPU is an Intel Pentium Pro 2833 Mhz Quad core. When I try to install Windows XP Pro, the files load into memory OK but when the installation starts I get a blue screen with the error code STOP: 0x0000007E (0x0000005, 0xF748E0BF, 0XF78DA208, 0XF78D9F08)
pci.sys-ADDRESS F748E0BF BASE ATF7487000, DATESTAMP 3B7d855c.
I checked over the installation and everything looked good. I ran the ultimate boot disk and it stated "CPU is in V86 Mode -- No" This was in red as if it was important. What does this mean? What is the next step?
