Question : Problem: SBS 2003 INSTALLED DUAL NIC - Internet Connection Setup Fails

Have installed brand new SBS 2003 on a 2003 network at the Office, where in place of dead one. Different name done all the FSMO required and all good but every single time Internet Connection Setup Fails.

Describtion of my network set up:
BT Router with 5 static IP addresses. Range 217.37.58.96 - 100
One DNS & DHCP 2003 Server. DHCP Range 192.168.0.90 - 200
One DNS & Main Exchange & Roaming Profile 2003 Server.
One Front-end Exchange 2003 Server (Outlook Web).
One File & Firewall Server 2003 Server
Previously there was one SBS as back-end exchange and hosting interanet, vpn which has died a week ago.
I have build a new one and added sucessfully to 2003 sever domain as client as previously got all 5 FSMO etc.
It has got statically configured 2 NIC's, Let me give u the details of my set-up so if u can spot where I am making the mistake.
NIC 1:
IP:192.168.0.71
Sub:255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.2 (Broadband Router Internal Address)
Pref DNS: 192.168.0.71
2nd DNS: 192.168.0.21 (The Main  Exchange Server)
2nd IP: 217.37.58.99 - 255.255.255.248 (External BT Static IP)

NIC 2:
IP:192.168.0.70
Sub:255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.2 (Broadband Router Internal Address)
Pref DNS: 192.168.0.71
2nd DNS: 192.168.0.21 (The Main  Exchange Server)
WINS: 192.168.0.71
------------------------
Now when I ran the wizard its failing and giving error. Also keeping working on it last 4 days non stop and I think I start getting my self confused. Also about the SBS asking for ISP's DNS. Why SBS need that address for in this set-up?

I am urgent need of help and feed back this has been going on long time now.
Awating suggestions and feed back.
Thanks a lot.

Answer : Problem: SBS 2003 INSTALLED DUAL NIC - Internet Connection Setup Fails

Why have you got two NICs running on the same subnet? SBS doesn't really like that.
Take the external IP address of the network configuration completely, that isn't required. The router should be doing that job. Then either team the NICs or disable one of them.

Simon.
