Question : Problem: Is there any way to use a different wifi wireless manager?

I have a dell inspiron e1405 and I have the wireless card Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN. I would like to use the microsoft wireless manager but my wireless card will not connect if I try to manage the wireless card with the microsoft software. But the wireless card connects to my network without a problem when I use the dell wireless wlan utility, but the problem is the dell wireless manager is really confusing to my user and I would like to find out if there is another free wireless manager I could use for novice users.

You have two options.  First you could try in the properties of the wireless card to have windows manage your wireless adapter.  If it is grayed out then you will have to uninstall the utility the dell put on the laptop that manages the wireless communications for the laptop.

Intel is the same way.  You have to install the driver but not install the utility.  Try modifying before you remove from the add/remove programs...
