Question : Problem: What is Wi-fi?

I have a Dell inspiron 6000 and it is loaded with wi-fi, blue tooth, you name it, I have it.....  Only problem is, I only have dial-up because I live in an area that has no cable, or broadband.... Satalite is too expensive....  So, I guess my last hope for decent web experiences is wi-fi, I think.  I say I think because I have no idea what the heck Wi-fi is.  

Could you please explain to me just what wi-fi is and if I am able to have it in the country.  Thank you.

Star bucks probably don't use dial-up. You would just get some connection software or ID from them and then connect to their network with your wireless lan card. This doesn't have anything to do with your dial up connection you setup on your PC.
