Question : Problem: Amanda backup failing at client on sendbackup service
fresh install of amanda on CentOS 5.2 server. 2 clients are CentOS 5.2 also, but only trying to backup a folder ('/myfiles') on one to establish that it works before deployment. Amcheck is successful. (See actual output of amcheck at end).
I keep seeing "dumper1: FAILED 01-00002 "service /usr/libexec/amanda/sendba
ckup failed: pid 24892 exited with code 1" in the various logs. I'll attach some of them.
I'm new to amanda, so you'll probably need me to send more info. This issue is high importance with lots of point. Thanks.

Answer : Problem: Amanda backup failing at client on sendbackup service
It may be read permission issue. Does the amanda backup user have read access on /myfiles directory?
