Question : Problem: The Device is set to offline automatically
No Veritas backup since long time
Observation:The Veritas backup is getting failed after running for sometime.
There are 2 drives one is IBM1 and IBM2.
There is a tape in the drive in IBM1and it is set to offline
I checked in devices and the device is set to offline.
I right clicked on the device and made it to online.
Checked in devices and there is a tape in the drive.
Ran the veritas backup manually but it got failed with the error message
"Please insert overwritable media into the drive.
Overwritable media includes scratch, blank, and recyclable media. Please note that depending on the current Media Overwrite Protection setting, imported and allocated media may be overwritable as well. Consult the online help for more information on overwritable media."
Please explain me in detail.
I am very new to this application.
