Question : Problem: How can I isolate workstation rights needed to run a specific Application under Citrix
I'm trying to install an application under Citrix PS4. The application is not a recognized standard app, ie Office, but a market specific medical app.
I can only get the application to run if I add users to the Administrators group on the Citrix Server.
Adding them to Power Users generates a startup error.
In trying to isolate the exact required permissions, I have granted a test user all rights to the root of C: as well as all rights to each tree in REGEDIT. That doesn't go it. Even with all those specific rights assignments, if the user is not a member of Administrators, the app won't run.
I've looked to see if the user is in a group that restricts access, therefore overriding the granted rights, but that does not appear to be the case.
I'm looking for general advice, as well as any suggestions if there's a tool out there that illlustrates what rights an application uses when it is launched.
Thanks!

the video is a great place to start. I don't know of any other tutorials other than the Help menu. basically you want to setup a filter to only show that application, and then open the app and see where you are getting accessed denied errors.
