Question : Problem: Blackberry Prof Software activation fails

After sending new user email to my user's Blackberry from server, activation failed.  Today I discovered that the user's Redirector had not been stopped on his desktop. How do I get this back on track so user can receive email to his Blackberry from BPS?  Do I need to have him uninstall the entire BB Desktop Manager/Redirector app?  Does it clean out Outlook settings when uninstalled? Or do we just need to stop the Redirector?  How do I restart BPS connection?  This is probably a lot to ask.  I am checking what doc I have on BPS now...

Answer : Problem: Blackberry Prof Software activation fails

Hi, you should first uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  If you have information on the device that was synchronized via Desktop Manager it is best to wipe the users device and then reactivate them onto the BES.  To activate them just right mouse click on the user > Select Set Activation Password > Set a password > From the device Go to Options\Advanced Options\Enterprise Activation > enter the email address and activation password > Press the trackball and select activate.
