Question : Problem: MS Media Player with no audio when playing DVD

I have a Compac Presario 2800 laptop with a CD-RW/DVD player. I am also using MS media player 10

With this combo all CDs play perfectly

However when I try to play a DVD I can see the picture there is no sound.

However if I play the DVD in my HP Pavilion Desktop which has a DVD-writer and CD-writer combination also using MS media player 10 it plays perfectly

Next I tried to play the DVD using a Lite one DVD RW player through my laptop and again I got the picture but no sound.

I then played the disk through my DVD player on TV and it also worked perfectly.

I thus think that I have a problem with windows media player 10 on my laptop but I do not know the problem or how to correct it.

Please somebody help
