Question : Problem: Core2Quad Q6600 on Intel DG33BU Motherboard not showing all Cores in Task Manager

Hey all,
Just recently got my new pc after my old P4 3.2 HT died.  Was able to save what was on the hdd by imaging it across to the new hdd and then installing all the new drivers.  only thing is that now when i look in task manager it only shows one core and the machine when multi tasking acts like it is only using the one core.

Ive checked and updated the bios and checked in device manager and found under processors that it says its a ACPI Multiprocessor PC.  Ive used the Intel Processor Id tool and it sees that its a Quad Core with all cores there while CPUZ only shows 1 core and 1 thread active...

Would greatly appreciate the help!!

You need another HAL. A repair install will copy the correct HAL.
