Question : Problem: Tiny FU661E scanner probs

Hi,
I have a Tiny USB scanner which loads to win98, it said in the device manager that the 42bit scanner is set-up and working properly, but when I look in 'Scanners and camera' properties it list the scanner as 42bit Scanner but status is unavailable. I can't use it with any packages.
Any help would be much appreciated
