Question : Problem: Canon Imagerunner iR300/400
|
|
We have a Canon Imagerunner iR300/400 (copier,scanner,fax,etc...)
It has a built in SCSI card/board, (excuse my terminology) We are trying to hook it up to a machine with an Adaptec AVA 2906 SCSI adapter. - Running Windows XP.
Whenever we try and scan anything, we just get a blue screen, telling us to make sure our hardware is setup correctly, etc...
The company that we rent the Canon from is saying that the SCSI board in the printer is not compatible with Windows XP - does that sound plausible? Or should there be some sort of workaround?
If someone can help explain this to me, I'd be grateful!
thanks, cdfllc

>> The company that we rent the Canon from is saying that the SCSI board in the printer is not compatible with Windows XP << <<<---- it is : look here :only win nt, Me and win98 supported. I would suggest buying a newer card; you could ask Canon if they prefer one specially; but normally they should accept all scusi cards that are xp compatible. an even better solution would be to buy a new scanner; it would be faster, and better in quality.
