Question : Problem: Remote Desktop to server in domain

From any computer that has internet access, our Terminal Server can be reached via Remote Desktop.  However, the program that I need to access is on our File Server.  On my home pc,   I can set up an RDP that automatically logs me on to the TS.  I know from within the RDP profile, I can start a program automatically, also.  Is there a way - from my home pc - to set up the RDP profile so that I automatically access the TS; then, automatically connect to the FS and run a program that resides there?  Even if that can be accomplished, I also need to print data from the program that resides on the FS - will that data wind it's way from the FS to the TS all the way back to my home pc?

Answer : Problem: Remote Desktop to server in domain

Why not create a firewall rule that forwards a specific port to your FS?  If you can add another IP address to the internet side...even better.  Configure the FS to listen to RDP on a specific port and when you connect use the following command (from your home pc).

mstsc /v:ipaddress:portnumber

Make sure you configure your RDP session to connect printers at login.
