Question : Problem: How to remove Gateway Server

Hello,

I need to remove one of our Gateway Servers from SCOM2007 configuration. I already logged onto the physical Gateway Server and removed the Gateway Server client, but the server is still showing up in the SCOM management console. I tried to do a right click on the server from within the console and choose delete, but i got an error saying this server was part of an overal topology and couldn't be deleted.

Answer : Problem: How to remove Gateway Server

Take a look at the Administration pane and look if there are any agents still reporting to the Gateway server.
If the Gateway server is still the primary Management server for agents you could get this error.
Re-target the agents to an other management or gateway server and delete the Gateway server in the Administration pane=>device management=>Management server.
