Question : Problem: Increase Network Speed.

We have hosted 3-4 data files on our sbs 2003 server for different application used by users, one of the application is responding slow and is running slow do we have anything which can increase our network speed.

server has 2 xeon quad processors, 4 gb ram, gigabit i/o accelarated card.

Answer : Problem: Increase Network Speed.

if you server is not connected to the gigabit port then this would cause an issue
for example
 4 users connect to switch via 100 mbps port server connects via 100 mbps therfore users can achieve 25 mbps connections to server this is not exact but an example some can use more when available
if  server connected via didabit then users "could" achieve 100mbps (never would because of other uses of network etc etc)
