Question : Problem: dos 6.2/6.22 virus detection

where can I find an update to this virus protetection.  I've tried Microsoft and shareware.com with no success.  Any advice?

Sorry, you can't get an update to the 6.22 MSAV program, for either the DOS or Windows versions.  They aren't being made.  The market changes have forced you to buy another virus checking system.  If you want to check for the newer viruses, then you have to get a current program that offers regular updates of new virus detecting templates.  

I know that's not the answer you want to hear, but that's just the way it is.  You still have some usefulness, albeit diminishing, for your old virus checker, because the old viruses are still out there .
