For the first time in about 7 years I've built myself a new computer, and boy has the technology changed. I have an Elite PF5 Extreme Mobo. 2 Western Dig 250gb 16mb SATA 300 drives a pentium 4 D 2.8. 3Gb ddr2 4200 ram. a dvd rom + Dvd writer. No floppy. trying to install new coppy of xp home serv pack 2.
After inserting the disc the installation starts to go well but terminates after first pause with drives not being detected. On pressing enter Get blue screen with 0x00000050(0xE531D9F8,0x00000000,0xF74139A8,0x00000002)
setupdd.sys address F74139A8 base at F73EC000 date stamp 41107c8f.
I have looked in bios but no hard drives show up there.
Mobo hand book next to useless. on power up get 3 beeps.
