Question : Problem: Hyper Threading on SIS661FX

Hi,

The other day I purchased a Pentium 4 3.0ghz Socket-478 800FSB. I have a SIS661fx Northbridge chipset and SIS946 Southbridge Chipset (I think). Anyway I have set hyper threading as enabled in the BIOS and when I run the Intel Hyper Threading test the proccesor passes, the bios passes but the Chipset doesnt. I have read over the internet and on the SIS site and they say the SIS661FX Chipset is Hyper Threading Supported. How do I enable Hyper Threading on this chipset? I have downloaded IDE drivers for it but no prevail. Any software I have to install?

Answer : Problem: Hyper Threading on SIS661FX

That might  have been the rare case where both threads were being used simultaneously, which is what it is designed to do.
