Question : Problem: "No signal" error message on Acer AL1912 TFT monitor
I moved my Sony desktop computer and my Acer AL 1912 TFT monitor into a different room.
Now when I turn on the computer with the monitor switched on - instead of the monitor booting up, an error message comes up saying "No signal". The green (on) light switches to orange (standby).
I have tried checking the connections, using compressed air to clean them. I have turned off and plugged out the computer and the monitor. I even bought a new cable to see if that was the problem. Nothing works. Every time I reboot the computer this happens.
Please help!
all the best

Check that there is only one video card plug at the back of the PC. There may one amongst the other connections - near USB network etc, and one further away on its own. If there are two, try the other one.
