Question : Problem: Stuck in 640 x 480
I have a Dell XPS, refurbed. I reinstalled Windows from scratch, wiped the partition yadda yadda. The ATI 2600HD AGP was giving me fits, so I thru my hands up with it, went and bought a Nvidia 6200 PCI.
I have downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia (also tried the ones that came with the video card). I can get 32bit colors, but cannot get out of 640 x480. No matter what I put it to, whether 800x600, 1024x768 etc, always goes back to 640. I have also installed the monitor driver (which is a dell) but with no luck.
This computer has nothing on it but Windows xp, no other software. I have updated the drivers for all.
help!
