Question : Problem: Keyboard skips keystrokes

My keyboard was skipping keystrokes. I thought it was just dirty, so I replaced it wth another one, same model, that had been used less. The skipping continued, so now I'm wondering if there is maybe a software problem...in the operating system (XP Pro) perhaps. Also, the problem seems to be limited to text typed into Intenet websites like this. My browser is IE 7.

you can always download and reinstall ie7 as a test, or apply the standard settings first
