Question : Problem: How do i replace a failed harddrive in a RAID 1 setup?

I have a server that has a RAID 1 array. 1 of the disks failed. i have purchased a new, identical drive so i can rebuild the raid 1. does the array automatically rebuild once i put the drive in? what is the process i need to go through. here is the hardware:

Intel S5000VSA motherboard

LSI Adapter, SAS 3000 series, 4-port with 1064E -StorPort

After you reboot the server you should see options that come up during the loading process. HP uses F8 ROM configuration. Select this option and select rebuild, re-new, etc...This will rebuild the disk. You can check the status of the rebuild process in the logs.
