Question : Problem: How can I turn off check for server certificate revocation?
I have a problem accessing the iTunes store and all the posts I read state that if I uncheck check for sever certificate revocation (and reboot) under the advanced tab (under tools, and options) it should work. My problem is I uncheck it, apply it, and reboot and it's checked again. Ever since I installed Norton Security 2008 I have been having a lot of problems with certificate revocation. I tried shutting Norton off and it didn't work. I tried a suggestion I saw on this site about right clicking on My COmputer and stopping all the Norton services, that didn't work either. I am at my wits end.

Ok, the solution that I found seems to call for un-installing NAV, un-install Live Update, doing a registry search and deleting everything relating to Norton and Symantec. Deleteing all Norton/Symantec folders from your computer, rebooting, and re-installing. That seemed to work for people. If you are close to the end of your subscription with NAV I would recommend going with a different product personally.
