Question : Problem: HP Scanjet 8250 installation deleted HP Director software

I just installed an HP ScanJet 8250. Apparently this installation deleted my original HP Director software that came on my computer (HP Pavalion a867c). When I try to scan a document, a popup shows "HP Director" with an "OK" button appears. I click on the OK button, but nothing happens.

I have unistalled and reinstalled the 8250 software about a dozen times now, but all with the same results.

Is there someway to reinstall the HP Director that came with the computer - short of having to use the  HP Recovery CD?

I think the software it's the HP Photo and Imaging Director ....
