Question : Problem: Bacup Exec connecting to a remote tape drive

Can I configure backup exec (11d) to backup data to a tape drive (iSCSI) that's connected to another server (in the same domain on the same LAN)? Both servers are running Windows server 2003

NDMP would not be a very good option as you will have to have an ndmp device to which the device should be connected to  and an ndmp license..

In short
You cannot use a tape drive connected to another server with the default configuration of backup exec.
