Question : Problem: how to fix noisy computer fan

Hello Folks,

I am having a loud of whirring noise in my computer, after investigating a little this noise is actually coming from the fan. If I stop the fan and start the computer its working OK.

Please can someone advise If there is anyway I can reduce the sound or would I need a new replacement?

replacement.. they are very cheap to buy, and any computer shop will have them..

the bearings in the fans go quite often, simply unplug the power from the fan, and remove it from your case by undoing its retaining clips.. take it with you when you're buying your new one, as there are different sized fans available..
