Question : Problem: Routing
|
|
Hi,
Iam using a 160N linksys wireless router and my office network is in the range 192.168.254.0.
My router has the ip address 192.168.1.1 and DHCP is enabled in router. Users are able to connect to internet through wireless and no issues. My query is
1) How to enable access to the office network for wireless users
I had tried the following : logged in to the router and went to "additional routing", there I gave the destinbation IP as 192.168.254.1 (one server) , default subnet mask and gateway as 192.168.1.1, but it didnt work)
What are the configurations to be done?
Please help

Just follow my instructions above. Change the wireless router's ip to something like 192.168.254.253 (make sure that ip is not one of the IP's that is served by your main dhcp server). Disable the wireless router's dhcp server. disconnect the wireless router's wan port and only connect it to the lan via one of it's lan ports. That's it.
