Question : Problem: Inspiron 5150 screen sparkles and wide vertical bands

I just received and  an Inspiron 5150. Sporadically the screen would have sparkles and the screen would be extended past the right side of the screen. Changing resolutions to a lower setting and back would sometimes fix it. When booting, it always has several vertical bands of different widths. If I wait long enough, the boot continues and the display becomes (sometimes) normal again. I took out the hard drive and only get the bands. I hooked an external monitor and everything is fine.

The internal connectors to the the LCD are loose/ intermittent. Common in laptops. You can sometimes fix this if you take apart the laptop, but no guarantees.
