Question : Problem: Wireless Printer not found

I have a customer that is trying to install a wireless HP Photosmart printer.

during the installation the printer can not be found.  Both printer and Notebook are on the same network and connected. the install hangs at locating the network printer and says it can not be found.

any ideas? please help the customer is completely frustrated.

Answer : Problem: Wireless Printer not found

Did you install the printer first using a USB cable?  HP wireless printers need to be installed on the machine using a USB cable first.  There are some specific steps at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00867651&lc=en&cc=sg&dlc=en&product=343092&rule=19946&lang=en# that should cover your model too.
