Question : Problem: white screen

i have a screen issue with my toshiba satellite m35 . work fine with external monitor but the laptop screen is white .the motherboard is  FSHSY1        A5A001158010. AND LCD SCREEN IS LP154W01 (A3) (K1)  i don't have the part # on lcd hardness. i wonder if all this part are compatible .
i get all this part on ebay and i can't find solution with white screen issue. i like to know the part # of the lcd hardness that work with mobo and lcd . thanks

Answer : Problem: white screen

An all white screen means the image layer isn't getting a signal but the back light circuit working properly.

The typical problems that cause this are a bad ribbon cable between the laptop and the screen (the one that goes through the hinge) - or - one of the connectors at either end of that cable has come loose.
[ Especially as you have a good picture on an external monitor indicating the video 'card' is working. ]

Note: The power to the backlight usually goes through a seperate cable. That is why it's not affected.
