Question : Problem: Ghosted advanced server drive will not boot correctly

Ok here goes...
I ghosted a 2000 advanced server hard drive with active directory installed.
I used the -ntil -fro -fdsz switches in ghost.
I switched the drive I wanted to ghost to be the slave drive and the drive I wanted to ghost to the master
I started ghost and did the image from disk 2 to disk 1
The image worked fine.
However if I boot with only the new ghosted drive connected to the controller I get an error....
"Director services could not start because of the following error: the system cannot find the file specified"
The file specified is lsass.exe.
If I boot with both drives..... It boots fine.
The problem is, the reason I ghosted the drive was because the old drive had errors and I wanted to replace it. Now If I remove it I can't boot the server.
Any Ideas???

Answer : Problem: Ghosted advanced server drive will not boot correctly

Hi hawgpig,
Run a repair on your install from the W2KAS CD, that will fix your files. The file might be there but are corrupt because of the errors you are escaping from ....
