Question : Problem: Data lost on SD memory card

The situation is the following: I was been working with Partition magic8 and during the creation of the Recovery disks the PC wrongly start to write/format the SD card (that I forgot in the slot of my laptop) instead to the floppy disk. The note shows E:disk is full.
Note the SD card before this situation was already full with pictures.
Now the files on SD memory card become unreadable. When I try to access them the message appears: "File name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect" I hope only the volume label was corrupted/damaged/overwritten and the files are still there. Is there any way I can recover that very important files from the SD card?
