Question : Problem: Job Does not complete until I open the the application interface ?!?!

The job actually finishes its Final verification @ 2:AM in the morning - but does not show completed status until I open the application; click ok to the notification and then will show a completed time - the completed time will be what ever time I opened the backup exec interface and clicked ok.

You probably have the job set up to "Eject Media" upon completion. Backup Exec then shows you an alert, asking to remove the tape.
You can have Backup Exec automatically answer OK to that alert. Go to Tools/Alert Categories. Select Media Remove and set it to automatically respond after 1 minute.
