Question : Problem: Compaq DESKPRO BIOS

How do you get to the setup of a Compaq deskpro.  I need to see if the IDE controller is enabled.  Most computers usually have you press F1 during startup.  Is there a similiar function for these machines?

Answer : Problem: Compaq DESKPRO BIOS

On Compaq machines there is a short window of time during the boot sequence when the cursor jumps to the upper right hand corner of the screen, press F10.  if you miss the window, reboot, and try holding down the F10 key as soon as you hear the POST beeps.
