Question : Problem: IS THIS BLUETOOTH ENABLED

DEARZ,
I HAVE TRAVELMATE 240 SERIES ACER LAPTOP. THERE IS A BLUETOOTH BUTTON ON MY LAPTOP PANEL, BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO ENABLE THIS OR WHETHER ITS PRESENT IN THE LAPTOP OR NOT.

according to this site: http://www.acer.co.th/product/travelmate/240/ the 240 does not have bluetooth onboard (although i have to say that it is lacking on the information side).

does the logo look like the one from apples' site: http://www.apple.com/bluetooth/ ? (look on the lower right hand side at the bottom of the page).

if you are interested in using this, by connecting to a cell phone to use as a wireless modem, you can add it via compact flash (using a pcmcia adapter) or usb. it makes connecting small devices easy without having many wires hanging off of your machine (ie: i can print to my bluetooth printer from my camera phone/laptop/palm over bluetooth or send files from my camera phone/laptop/palm without connecting them physically).
