Question : Problem: Geeting DDS tape data to a disk so we can restore files
The task at hand is to find a way to copy the backup set off a series of DDS tapes to a disk file, which then could be used to restore select folder and files at a later time. These tapes are currently readable using Windows 2000 native backup
any help would be appreciated

If they are readable in 2000 native backup, then restore them. There is no way on Windows to "copy" data from a tape without restoring it.
