Question : Problem: HP OfficeJet 7100 Scanner Failure!

We have these crappy printers everywere in our company. They always seem to have some sort of problem and I hate them.

We are currently receiving Scanner Failure "restart machine"

I restart and same problem. This error prevents anyone from using any menu features.

When the machine first boots you can see the scanner light move a little. Then back to the error message.

The software is installed. I reinstalled it with no affect.

you don't . . . you can turn in the device for repair, or buy a new one.
you can try to replace parts if you have access to parts, which is not so easy . . .
